Department of Internal Medicine

 

Internal medicine is the branch of medicine which deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Internists are skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. Internists care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in teaching and research.

Department of Internal Medicine is further divided into three parts: Internal, Neurology and Infectious. Training is provided at different levels including medical students, GPs, and Specialty. Internal wards are committed to provide education and training courses to medical students, interns, and residents in the educational hospitals of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences.
