Social Determinants of Health Research Center
Social Determinants of Health is an integrated approach to deal with health problems, improve public health and move toward "healthy society". In this approach, physical and mental health problems and diseases are considered from a social perspective, so these determinants can be used in health planning and policy making. Factors such as nutrition, environment, work environment, poverty, education, housing, water, sex, unemployment, stress, income, social support, education, training and so on are of the most important social determinants of health. Studying each of these factors and understanding the structural relationships between them are among the World Health Organization's focused objectives.
