Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences Seeks to Boost Health Tourism through International Exchange of Experiences at the International Hospitals Congress & Exhibition
On the sidelines of the International Private/Public Hospitals Congress & Exhibition (IPH), Vice-Chancellor for Treatment of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences announced that the presence of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences (HUMS) in this international exhibition is a major step towards internationalizing its health tourism services.
"A three-day conference and exhibition aimed at attracting health tourists and enhancing international patient Department (IPD) has kicked off, offering a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to connect with hospitals, specialized medical centers, and health tourism holdings. According to Dr. Manouchehr Kamali, the event provides a platform for stakeholders to exchange experiences and establish relationships, ultimately driving growth in the healthcare sector."
Dr. Manouchehr Kamali added: This 3-day conference and exhibition is a suitable and valuable opportunity to establish relationships with hospitals, specialized medical centers, and health tourism holdings to exchange experiences in the field of attracting health tourists and the issue of IPD.
He added that two hospitals in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island, Qeshm Payambar Azam hospital and Ume Laila Private Hospital, which have succeeded in obtaining the IPD (International Patient Department) license, participated in IPH 2024 concerning on IPD (International Patient Department) at the HUMS booth. Dr. Kamali also expressed the importance of this partnership which provides a suitable opportunity to introduce the medical and hospital capacities of Hormozgan Province to the medical community and international patients and emphasized the significance of developing international medical services in Hormozgan province.
During his statement, Dr. Kamali provided further details, highlighting the diverse range of participants expected at the event. These include specialized clinics, medical and pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers, laboratory facilities, hospital developers, insurance firms, investors, health tourism service providers, startups, and knowledge-based companies collaborating with renowned hospitals. The congregation of these entities is set to take place from Wednesday, August 7th to Friday, August 9th, 2024, at the Tehran International Broadcasting Conference Center.
Dr. Kamali pointed out that the side exhibition of the IPH 2024 event is an opportunity to provide services and products related to health and health tourism to domestic and international visitors.
